Asian Rice Quotes Mostly Higher
Viet rice sellers hiked their quotes across the board while Thai and Indian quote changes were mixed.
Thai 5% rice is quoted about $585 - $595 per ton, about a $180 per ton premium over Viet 5% rice quoted around $405 - $415 per ton, both up about $5 per ton today. Indian 5% rice is indicated around $410 - $420 per ton, about a $55 per ton discount to Pak 5% rice shown around $465 - $475 per ton.
Thai 25% rice is quoted around $565 - $575 per ton, about a $200 per ton premium over Viet 25% rice indicated around $365 - $375 per ton, up about $5 per ton today. Indian 25% rice is indicated around $375 - $385 per ton, about a $35 per ton discount to Pak 25% rice shown around $410 - $420 per ton.
Thai parboiled rice is quoted about $585 - $595 per ton. Indian parboiled rice is indicated around $395 - $405 per ton, up about $5 per ton and about an $80 per ton discount to Pak parboiled rice quoted around $475 - $485 per ton.
Thai broken rice, A1 Super, is quoted around $515 - $525 per ton, down about $10 per ton from yesterday and about a $180 per ton premium over Viet broken rice shown around $335 - $345 per ton. Indian broken sortexed rice is quoted about $330 - $340 per ton, down about $5 per ton from yesterday and about a $5 per ton discount to Pak broken sortexed rice indicated around $335- $345 per ton.
